Product Details & Size Guide
Bring a chapter of British motoring history into your everyday rotation with this Austin Cuffed Beanie. Founded in 1905 at Longbridge, Austin grew from an independent car maker into a name linked with the Austin Seven, the Mini and generations of changing industry. Its story spans early engineering, postwar family motoring and the transformation of a famous manufacturing site. A thoughtful choice for enthusiasts who appreciate the people, places and models behind the marque, and a fitting companion for cool-weather outings or relaxed days at home.
Founded in 1905 by Herbert Austin, the British motor vehicle maker began at a former printing works in Longbridge, near Birmingham. Its early cars included luxury models, and during the First World War the company expanded production to trucks, aircraft, shells and other government contracts. After financial restructuring in 1921, the Austin Seven helped it reach a wider market; the small car was also built under licence abroad. In 1952 Austin merged ownership with Morris Motors to form the British Motor Corporation, while retaining its separate identity. The Austin-Healey marque began that year, and Austin later became part of British Leyland after a 1968 merger. Models such as the Mini, Metro, Maestro and Montego mark later stages in the company’s history. Austin branding was phased out in 1987, though cars continued in production. The Longbridge plant later passed through successive corporate owners. The Austin name ultimately passed to SAIC Motor after Nanjing Automotive acquired it with MG Rover Group in 2005.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.
Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
