Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Celebrate a distinct chapter in American discount grocery history with this Bottom Dollar Food Cuffed Beanie. Created by Delhaize America in 2004, the chain brought its cost-conscious format to communities across several states before its stores closed in January 2015. The name recalls a period of experimentation in regional grocery retail, from early growth to a brief Pennsylvania expansion and eventual transition to a new operator. A thoughtful choice for collectors and former shoppers who remember the brand.

Bottom Dollar Food was an American soft-discount grocery chain created by Delhaize America in 2004, alongside the upscale Bloom chain. Headquartered in Salisbury, North Carolina, it opened its first store in High Point on September 21, 2005. The chain grew to about 30 stores across North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Ohio, then expanded into Pennsylvania in October 2010, starting in King of Prussia. Its first Philadelphia store opened April 15, 2011. In 2012, Delhaize converted 22 southern stores to Food Lion and closed six, leaving the Bottom Dollar name in Pennsylvania and New Jersey; the Bloom brand was also retired. The chain later expanded in the Pittsburgh and Youngstown areas. In November 2014, Delhaize announced a sale of Bottom Dollar to Aldi and plans to close the stores. They shut on January 12, 2015, ahead of schedule after selling through inventory. Delhaize finalized the sale of the closed locations to Aldi on March 27, 2015. Aldi planned to reopen 30 as its own stores, while other locations were flipped or sublet.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.

Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
