Cablevision Cuffed Beanie
Keep a piece of New York-area media history close with this Cablevision cuffed beanie. The Cablevision name recalls decades of neighborhood cable service across Long Island, New York City, New Jersey, Westchester, and Connecticut, along with the later Optimum identity. It is a straightforward collector-minded accessory for former employees, longtime subscribers, telecommunications fans, and anyone nostalgic for a defining regional cable brand.
Cablevision Systems Corporation was an American cable television company centered on the New York metropolitan area. In the mid-1960s, Charles Dolan built Sterling Manhattan Cable in Manhattan and launched Home Box Office, then sold both to Time Life Inc. He used the proceeds to begin a suburban Long Island system called CableVision. After adopting the Cablevision name, the company expanded through construction and acquisitions across Long Island, New York City, New Jersey, Westchester County, and Connecticut. It later entered the Chicago, Boston, and Cleveland areas, serving 2.9 million subscribers in 19 states by the mid-1990s. Late-1990s transactions consolidated operations around New York, Cleveland, and Boston; a deal with TCI brought 10 New York-area systems to Cablevision. In 2000 it sold systems outside New York. Cablevision acquired Bresnan Communications in 2010, renamed it Optimum West in 2011, and sold it to Charter in 2013. Altice acquired Cablevision on June 21, 2016. Former services continue under Optimum Communications.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.
Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
