GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
The Centurion Air Cargo Infant Bodysuit introduces a little one to a memorable chapter of Miami aviation history. The company began as Challenge Air Cargo in 1985, became independent in 1986, and took the Centurion name in 2001. Its Miami International Airport cargo center opened in 2013, connecting the airline to a major story in cargo operations and airport infrastructure. A thoughtful choice for aviation-minded families and collectors who enjoy sharing the history of air freight with a new generation.
Centurion Air Cargo, which operated as Centurion Cargo, was an American cargo airline based in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Its history began in 1985, when it was established as Challenge Air Cargo, a subsidiary of Challenge Air Transport. The airline became independent of Challenge Air Transport in 1986. In 2001, after United Parcel Service took over the scheduled business, a new company was formed as Centurion Air Cargo to take over Challenge’s air operating certificate. Centurion also operated the Centurion Cargo Center, a cargo terminal at Miami International Airport that opened in 2013. The facility covered 1,400,000 square feet and included a 550,000-square-foot warehouse with cold and dry storage. It was described as North America’s largest privately owned, all-cargo airline facility before its operation shut down. Following financial difficulties and an inability to restructure its operations, the airline surrendered its operating certificate to the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2018. The supplied history therefore links the Centurion name to the earlier Challenge Air Cargo operation and to a major Miami cargo facility.
