Coda filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on May 1, 2013, after selling about 100 cars, and said it would leave car manufacturing to focus on Coda Energy. In 2014, the owner of Mullen Motor Cars incorporated the bankrupt company into a new electric-vehicle enterprise, Mullen Technologies. Exergonix acquired Coda's remaining assets by May 2016. The name CODA refers to a musical concluding passage; the company framed it as a transition from combustion engines toward electric vehicles.

Care instructions
- Use warm water, dish soap and clean spots off your sleeve. It's not necessary to soak the whole sleeve. For hard to clean spots use a soft bristled brush.
