GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Share a memorable story from computing history with a kids tee inspired by Decision Data Computer Corporation. Founded in Horsham, Pennsylvania, in 1969, the company began with keypunch machines and expanded into card readers, printers, keyboards, and other equipment used in business computing. Its System 4 represented a move toward disk-based computers for small businesses. This design connects young technology fans with the machines, workplaces, and ideas that helped make the 1970s an important time for computing.

Founded in Horsham, Pennsylvania, in 1969 by Loren A. Schultz, Decision Data Computer Corporation first made keypunch machines and related equipment. From 1974 to 1976, it broadened its offerings to include card readers, paper-tape converters, memory boards, keyboards, and line printers for IBM systems. After a sales decline in 1975, the company test-marketed its own System 4 computer in Philadelphia. Initially commissioned and co-designed by UNIVAC Sperry Rand, it used an Intel 8080 processor and was aimed at small businesses and buyers seeking a disk-based minicomputer. Production increased in 1977, although market growth was slower than expected. The company went public by 1975 and recorded a revenue high in 1978. In 1976, it formed a service and supplies division that later became DecisionOne. Shareholders approved the name Decision Industries Corporation in April 1986; acquisitions followed that year. After Onset Corporation acquired it in a 1988 leveraged buyout, the division became Decision Data Inc. In 1992, it acquired the remnants of Qantel Corporation. By the end of the decade, Decision Data Inc. had been purchased by another company for $200 million.
