GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Raise a glass to the Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad, whose route connected Detroit, Toledo and Ironton and carried the story of changing American railways. Formed as the Detroit Southern Railroad in 1901, the company later drew investment from Henry Ford, including improvements near Dearborn. This pint glass brings that regional rail heritage to everyday gatherings, a fitting choice for railroad enthusiasts, collectors and anyone who enjoys a thoughtful nod to the lines that shaped local communities.

The Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad traced its origins to the 1901 merger of the Detroit and Lima Northern Railway and the Ohio Southern Railway, which formed the Detroit Southern Railroad. Purchased at foreclosure in 1905, it was reorganized as the Detroit, Toledo & Ironton Railway; the name changed to Detroit, Toledo and Ironton Railroad in 1914. The company went bankrupt in 1908 and was purchased by Henry Ford in 1920. Ford valued its connection from Dearborn, Michigan, to major east-west rail lines and invested in track, equipment and electrification near Detroit. He sold it in 1929 to a Pennsylvania Railroad subsidiary. The DT&I remained an independent subsidiary until 1970, despite its parent’s 1968 merger with the New York Central to form Penn Central. Private investors bought the railroad after Penn Central’s bankruptcy. The Grand Trunk Western acquired it in 1980, and in December 1983 the DT&I was fully assimilated into the GTW. Service on southern portions ended in stages, while parts of the northern and central routes later passed to the Indiana and Ohio Railway. The railroad connected Detroit, Toledo and Ironton, with other listed communities along its route in Michigan and Ohio.

A sturdy 16oz pint glass that brings a little roadhouse spirit to everyday pours. The clear tempered glass showcases whatever you fill it with — amber beer, cold brew, or fresh juice — while a bold vintage-inspired script wraps the side for a subtle, nostalgic touch. It feels solid in the hand, resists everyday wear, and pairs easily with bar carts, kitchen counters, or a laid-back backyard table. Wash gently by hand to keep the lettering sharp and the glass crystal-clear. Built from tempered materials and assembled in the USA, this glass fits into evenings spent swapping stories, weekend morning routines, or those slow, quiet moments when a simple drink matters.
