Keep a piece of Angolan airline history close through the day with this Diexim Expresso tumbler. Founded in 2003 under Grupo BD-Bartolomeu Dias, the Luanda-based carrier connected cities within Angola and operated VIP and charter flights, including routes to Namibia. A safety-related restriction in November 2008 preceded the end of its operations around that period. This design makes a thoughtful choice for aviation collectors and anyone drawn to the stories behind regional airlines.
Diexim Expresso Aviação, operating as Diexim Expresso, was an Angolan airline based in Luanda. Established in 2003, it was wholly owned by Grupo BD-Bartolomeu Dias. Its main base was Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in Luanda. The airline operated scheduled services connecting major towns and cities within Angola, alongside VIP flights and charter services in Angola and to Namibia. On 14 November 2008, it was added to the European Union list of air carriers banned from operating in the region, following safety concerns. The airline ceased operations around this period. A record of destinations served was published for November 2009, and fleet information was recorded as of April 2012. These later reference points document the airline’s place in aviation history, rather than indicating that it continued flying through those dates. Diexim Expresso’s history is associated with Angola’s domestic air links, Luanda’s role as its operating base, and the company’s ownership by Grupo BD-Bartolomeu Dias.
