Keep Diexim Expresso’s story in view while making notes about Angolan aviation history. Established in 2003, this Luanda-based airline connected major towns and cities within Angola and also offered VIP and charter services in Angola and to Namibia. It was wholly owned by Grupo BD-Bartolomeu Dias and operated from Quatro de Fevereiro Airport. Records of destinations from November 2009 and fleet information from April 2012 document its historical footprint, not continued flights. A useful desk item for airline researchers, collectors, and aviation enthusiasts.
Diexim Expresso Aviação, operating as Diexim Expresso, was an Angolan airline based in Luanda. Established in 2003, it was wholly owned by Grupo BD-Bartolomeu Dias. Its main base was Quatro de Fevereiro Airport in Luanda. The airline operated scheduled services connecting major towns and cities within Angola, alongside VIP flights and charter services in Angola and to Namibia. On 14 November 2008, it was added to the European Union list of air carriers banned from operating in the region, following safety concerns. The airline ceased operations around this period. A record of destinations served was published for November 2009, and fleet information was recorded as of April 2012. These later reference points document the airline’s place in aviation history, rather than indicating that it continued flying through those dates. Diexim Expresso’s history is associated with Angola’s domestic air links, Luanda’s role as its operating base, and the company’s ownership by Grupo BD-Bartolomeu Dias.
