GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Take a piece of Eagle's automotive story along on your travels. Created after Chrysler acquired AMC in 1987, Eagle carried a name first associated with AMC's distinctive four-wheel-drive car and later applied it to a varied lineup. The Premier linked the marque to the development of Chrysler's LH cars, while the Talon and Vision gave Eagle a lasting place in collectors' memories. This passport cover is for travelers who appreciate unusual American car history and the brief, international influences behind the Eagle name.
Eagle was a Chrysler Corporation automobile brand created after Chrysler acquired American Motors Corporation (AMC) in 1987. The name recalled AMC's four-wheel-drive Eagle, introduced for the 1980 model year; that line continued as the Eagle Wagon until production ended in December 1987. Chrysler formed its Jeep-Eagle division to market vehicles through former AMC dealerships, and positioned Eagle cars toward enthusiast drivers with a more European image. Early models included the Renault-based Medallion and Premier, developed by AMC with Renault, and imported or rebadged vehicles from Mitsubishi. The Premier, sold from 1988 to 1992, provided the basis for Chrysler's LH platform, introduced for the 1993 model year. Later cars included the Talon, made from 1990 to 1998, and the Vision, sold from 1993 to 1997. Chrysler announced the brand's discontinuation in September 1997; the final Talon followed in 1998. The planned successor to the Vision became the Chrysler 300M. Eagle therefore bridged AMC's passenger-car legacy and Chrysler's changing model lineup, before the marque was retired.
