In 1983, the company received permission to operate passenger charter flights and acquired two McDonnell Douglas DC-10s for charters to South America and Europe. Scheduled service began in May 1985, linking Miami with San Juan and Madrid; Paris and Zurich were subsequently added. The airline's financial position deteriorated rapidly. It entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in August 1985, and by October lacked the funds to continue operating. It later ceased to exist. The article identifies no merger or successor.
