Keep notes close with a nod to a railway built around an ambitious idea. Founded in 1900, the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway planned a route to the Pacific at Topolobampo. Its history includes a 1910 fire at the Fairview shops, reorganizations, the Santa Fe acquisition, and reaching Presidio in 1930. This sticky note pad suits a desk, study space, or railroad collection, and offers a daily reminder of the Orient railroad's cross-border legacy.

Founded in 1900 by American railroad entrepreneur Arthur Edward Stilwell, the Kansas City, Mexico and Orient Railway was planned as a route to the Pacific Ocean at Topolobampo, Sinaloa. Its United States portion was incorporated in 1900 and completed between Wichita, Kansas, and Alpine, Texas. Grading also took place between El Dorado and Bazaar, Kansas. The railway's primary shops were first located in Fairview, Oklahoma; after a fire destroyed them in 1910, they were re-established in Wichita. Forced into bankruptcy in 1912, the company was reorganized as the KCM&O Railroad in 1914, then returned to its original name in a 1925 reorganization. Commonly known as the Orient railroad, it and the separately chartered KCM&O of Texas operated 859 miles of track at the end of 1925. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway acquired the KCM&O in 1928, chiefly to gain access to West Texas oil fields, and later sold its Mexican portions. The railway reached Presidio in 1930, when the Presidio–Ojinaga International Rail Bridge was built. Operating rights on the San Angelo Junction–Presidio line later went to Texas Pacifico Transportation. The railway was a predecessor of Mexico's Chihuahua al Pacífico railroad.

Keep a stack by the phone for action items, stash a pad in your planner for weekly priorities, or place one on a conference table where everyone can jot a quick note. The adhesive holds through handling but releases cleanly when you move items around. For people who prefer minimal branding and maximum writing space, these pads help keep thoughts visible and tasks moving forward without shouting for attention.
