Product Details & Size Guide
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Set your phone beside a reminder of Lufthansa CityLine’s place in regional aviation history. This foldable mobile phone display stand celebrates the airline that connected domestic and European destinations through Munich and Frankfurt. Its predecessor DLT adopted a feeder-flight focus in 1976; Lufthansa took full ownership in 1992, and the CityLine name marked a new chapter. For collectors, that transition, along with changing aircraft and liveries, tells a distinctive story of how major-airline connections were organized.
Lufthansa CityLine grew from OLT-Ostfriesische Lufttaxi, founded in 1958. DLT Lufttransport GmbH was established in Frankfurt on October 1, 1974, and shifted its focus toward feeder flights to major airports in 1976. Lufthansa acquired a 26 percent stake in June 1978, and the company was renamed DLT-Deutsche Luftverkehrs GmbH that month. Lufthansa increased its share to 40 percent in 1985 and 52 percent in 1989. In March 1992, DLT became wholly owned by Lufthansa and took the name Lufthansa CityLine GmbH. Based at Munich Airport, it served Lufthansa hubs in Munich and Frankfurt, connecting domestic and European destinations. Its fleet history included regional turboprops and jets, followed by aircraft such as the CRJ and Avro RJ. In 2018, aircraft carrying Lufthansa Regional titles received Lufthansa’s updated corporate livery. From 2015, CityLine also operated A340 aircraft on leisure routes under wet-lease arrangements; those operations were gradually ended after a 2017 agreement. Lufthansa announced plans to close CityLine in 2024 and confirmed the shutdown plan in 2025, with staff intended to move to Lufthansa City Airlines, established in 2022.
