GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Carry a small reminder of MAXjet Airways and its brief place in transatlantic aviation history. Founded in 2003, the Virginia carrier began New York to London flights in 2005 after moving away from its original low-cost plan toward premium all-business-class travel. Scheduled routes from London Stansted and luxury charters formed an ambitious network for a company with a small fleet. Operations ended in December 2007, making this double-sided keychain charm a memorable keepsake for airline and travel-history collectors.
Founded in 2003, MAXjet Airways was an American airline created to connect transatlantic travelers with an all-business-class service. Its original plan was a low-cost model with domestic-carrier connections at Baltimore-Washington International Airport; during its start-up, management reconsidered the economics of that approach and repositioned the company as a premium service for premium-economy and business-class passengers. Headquartered in the Dulles area of Loudoun County, Virginia, the airline began its first New York–London service on 1 November 2005. Its scheduled network linked London Stansted with New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas, and it also developed luxury charter operations serving destinations in Europe, the Caribbean and the United States. MAXjet was publicly traded on the London Stock Exchange's Alternative Investment Market under the symbol MAXJ. At its operational peak, it had no more than five aircraft. On 7 December 2007, trading in its shares was suspended; on 24 December, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and permanently stopped flying, citing rising fuel costs, higher crew salaries and other unforeseen costs. Eos Airlines was to accommodate passengers on Stansted–JFK services. A proposed 2008 restart as a charter operator following an acquisition by NCA Sports Group did not proceed.
