Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Add a touch of cable-era history to your desk with this MediaOne-inspired sticky note pad. MediaOne's story traces US West's expansion into cable, the 1996 Continental Cablevision acquisition, and a 1998 name change that accompanied a major corporate split. The brand's services included RoadRunner and Hiway1, while its later path led through AT&T to Comcast. A practical desk companion and a distinctive keepsake for collectors interested in the companies that reshaped American communications.

MediaOne Group, Inc. emerged from US West's expansion into cable television and internet services. US West acquired Continental Cablevision in 1996 for $5.3 billion in stock and renamed it MediaOne, following the earlier adoption of that name by Wometco/GTC. In 1998, US West separated its telephone and non-telephone businesses; the company taking the US West, Inc. name transferred its communications and directory publishing divisions to a new entity, while the split took effect on June 12. Chuck Lillis became MediaOne's CEO. The company had roots in three regional telephone businesses: Mountain Bell, based in Denver, Northwestern Bell in Omaha, and Pacific Northwest Bell in Seattle. Its cable offerings included MediaOne Express, MediaOne RoadRunner and Hiway1. After Comcast bid for MediaOne in 1999, AT&T offered about $62 billion and paid a $1.5 billion break-up fee; AT&T acquired MediaOne in 2000. The assets subsequently became part of AT&T Broadband, which Comcast acquired in 2002. MediaOne was then known as Comcast MO Group, Inc. Its corporate history traces a path from regional telephone operations and cable acquisitions to successive ownership by AT&T and Comcast.

Keep a stack by the phone for action items, stash a pad in your planner for weekly priorities, or place one on a conference table where everyone can jot a quick note. The adhesive holds through handling but releases cleanly when you move items around. For people who prefer minimal branding and maximum writing space, these pads help keep thoughts visible and tasks moving forward without shouting for attention.
