It listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange on May 29, 2018, following a reverse takeover, and also traded over the counter in the U.S. MedMen acquired businesses and licenses in several states and announced a proposed $682 million acquisition of PharmaCann, but the deal did not proceed. In 2019, the company opened a medical dispensary in Florida and announced a partnership with Canadian company Cronos Group. Trading was suspended in January 2024, and the stock was delisted in May. In April 2024, MedMen entered Canadian bankruptcy proceedings; its U.S. business filed for Chapter 7 liquidation and discontinued operations.
