Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Bring a touch of regional aviation heritage to time on the course. Mid-Continent Airlines grew from its 1928 Sioux City flight-school beginnings into a carrier serving communities across the central United States, with routes eventually reaching Louisiana and Texas. DC-3 service began in 1945, followed by Convair 240 service in 1950, as the airline continued to expand. This golf towel connects a familiar leisure pastime with the changing routes and aircraft of a memorable chapter in airline history.

Mid-Continent Airlines began in 1928 as a flight school at Rickenbacker Airport in Sioux City, Iowa, founded by Arthur S. Hanford Sr. and his son, Arthur S. Hanford Jr. It grew into Hanford's Tri-State Airlines, offering charter and scheduled service across the central United States. In 1934, it received air mail routes and briefly moved its headquarters to Minneapolis before returning to Sioux City. Following Arthur Jr.'s death in 1935, new ownership took shape under Thomas Fortune Ryan III. The company was incorporated in Delaware in 1936 and began air-carrier operations as Hanford Airlines; its name changed to Mid-Continent Airlines in 1938 as service expanded around Tulsa and the central oil region. After wartime cargo, training, and aircraft-modification work, it resumed growth, adding Gulf Coast destinations and newer aircraft, including DC-3s and Convair 240s. Based in Kansas City by the time of its final years, the airline served a broad network from the northern central states to Louisiana and Texas. Braniff International Airways acquired it on August 16, 1952, after Civil Aeronautics Board approval. Mid-Continent's routes and aircraft joined Braniff's network, and its name and Chief Wapello logo are administered as Braniff intellectual property.

Light, quick-drying, and built to travel with you on the course. This compact golf towel slips onto your bag with a solid gold grommet and ring, so it’s always within reach between swings. The dense microfiber weave soaks up moisture and cleans clubfaces without scratching. Its subtle printed logo sits low on the cloth for an understated look that won’t distract from your setup. Carry it clipped to your bag, loop it on your cart, or toss it in your travel kit—this towel is quietly reliable when the round gets long or the weather changes.
