Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Keep notes beside a reminder of the Ogren Motor Car Company, a brief but distinctive name in early American motoring. Founded in Chicago in 1914, Ogren moved from race-car plans to six-cylinder touring cars, relocated to Waukegan, and later resumed operations in Milwaukee. The Ogren Six debuted in July 1920, with a later switch from a Beaver to a Continental engine. For a collector, researcher, or automotive history enthusiast, this note pad pairs everyday reminders with an intriguing company timeline.

Founded by Hugo W. Ogren in Chicago in the fall of 1914, the Ogren Motor Car Company began with plans to build one-off race cars. In 1915, it turned toward six-cylinder touring cars, with prototypes made that year. After its capital stock rose to $1,000,000 in 1916, the company moved to a larger factory in Waukegan, Illinois, and produced a line of six-cylinder automobiles. It ran out of operating cash in 1917, and the factory was sold at auction on November 22. Re-established in 1919, the company converted Milwaukee’s Elite ice skating rink into a factory. Its first Ogren Six appeared in July 1920, powered by a 65-horsepower Beaver engine, compared with 34 horsepower in the earlier cars. In 1922, Ogren replaced the Beaver engine with a more powerful Continental engine; prices ranged from $4,250 to $5,500. Late that year, Hugo Ogren left for another automobile venture, and Fred G. Smith took over, with limited success in reorganizing the company. In January 1924, its tools and property were sold to Huffman Bros. Motor Co. of Elkhart, Indiana.

Keep a stack by the phone for action items, stash a pad in your planner for weekly priorities, or place one on a conference table where everyone can jot a quick note. The adhesive holds through handling but releases cleanly when you move items around. For people who prefer minimal branding and maximum writing space, these pads help keep thoughts visible and tasks moving forward without shouting for attention.
