Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Keep the story of South Jersey rail travel close with this Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines cuffed beanie. P-RSL began service in 1933, bringing together rail lines shaped by competition for passengers traveling from Camden and Philadelphia toward Atlantic City and other shore destinations. The company’s history reaches from seaside vacation journeys to its transition to Conrail operations in 1976. A fitting pick for railroad collectors, regional-history readers, and fans of the Jersey Shore’s travel past.

Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines (P-RSL) operated in Southern New Jersey from 1933 until Conrail took it over in 1976. Its origins lay in two competing railroads: the Pennsylvania Railroad-owned West Jersey and Seashore Railroad and the Reading Company subsidiary Atlantic City Railroad. On March 4, 1931, the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities ordered the companies to combine their southern New Jersey lines. The agreement gave the Pennsylvania Railroad a two-thirds ownership share and the Reading Company one-third. On July 15, 1933, the West Jersey and Seashore was leased by the Atlantic City Railroad and renamed Pennsylvania-Reading Seashore Lines. The predecessor lines linked Camden, and by ferry Philadelphia, with Atlantic City and other South Jersey shore destinations. Their competition peaked in the 1920s, when they promoted fast service to vacationers. After World War II, growing automobile use, the Atlantic City Expressway, and air travel reduced rail use. By the late 1960s, the remaining former Camden–Atlantic City Main Line operated as a commuter service. Although P-RSL itself did not enter bankruptcy, both owners later did: Penn Central, successor to the Pennsylvania Railroad, and the Reading Company. Conrail assumed P-RSL operations on April 1, 1976.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.

Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
