GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Bring a piece of Texas and New Mexico aviation history to your everyday glassware. Pioneer Air Lines grew from Essair, whose name reflected a focus on efficiency, safety, and speed in the air. After its 1946 name change, the airline connected regional communities with DC-3s and later Martin 2-0-2 Pacemasters. This pint glass celebrates that distinctive route-building story, from early Houston and Amarillo service to the 1955 merger into Continental Airlines. A thoughtful choice for aviation history enthusiasts and collectors.

Essair, a name formed from “Efficiency, Safety, and Speed in the Air,” was incorporated in 1939. Founded by Major William F. Long, who owned the Dallas Aviation School and Air College, the airline began temporary service between Houston and Amarillo through Austin, San Angelo, Abilene, and Lubbock. On August 1, 1945, Essair became the first airline to fly under the Civil Aeronautics Board’s new local-service classification, using Lockheed Model 10 Electra aircraft on Texas routes. The company changed its name to Pioneer Air Lines in 1946, and its Electras were replaced by Douglas DC-3s; 23 DC-3s were used from 1946 to 1953. Pioneer added New Mexico cities in 1948. From 1952, it also operated Martin 2-0-2 aircraft, known as Pioneer Pacemasters. In April 1949, its schedule served 24 airports across New Mexico and Texas, linking Albuquerque and El Paso with Dallas and Houston. Pioneer was acquired by and merged into Continental Airlines in 1955, serving 22 cities over more than 2,000 route miles at the time. By late 1963, some former Pioneer destinations had transferred to Trans-Texas Airways. A separate airline later used the Pioneer Airlines name; it was not the same company.

A sturdy 16oz pint glass that brings a little roadhouse spirit to everyday pours. The clear tempered glass showcases whatever you fill it with — amber beer, cold brew, or fresh juice — while a bold vintage-inspired script wraps the side for a subtle, nostalgic touch. It feels solid in the hand, resists everyday wear, and pairs easily with bar carts, kitchen counters, or a laid-back backyard table. Wash gently by hand to keep the lettering sharp and the glass crystal-clear. Built from tempered materials and assembled in the USA, this glass fits into evenings spent swapping stories, weekend morning routines, or those slow, quiet moments when a simple drink matters.
