Product Details & Size Guide
GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
A Prospect Mortgage phone display stand brings a piece of mortgage business history to a modern desk. The lender began in 2007 and built a broader retail operation by acquiring branches and platforms, including Metrocities, Opteum’s retail business, and IndyMac Bancorp’s retail branches. Prospect later added other mortgage operations before its assets moved to HomeBridge in 2017. A useful conversation piece for collectors following how acquisitions reshaped a national home-lending company.
Prospect Mortgage was a residential retail mortgage lender founded in 2007 and headquartered in Sherman Oaks, California, with retail offices across the United States. Backed by private equity firm Sullivan Partners, it expanded through acquisitions. In 2007, it acquired Metrocities Mortgage, LLC, and the retail mortgage platform of Opteum Financial Services LLC. In 2008, it acquired IndyMac Bancorp’s retail mortgage branches, adding 80 offices and expanding into the Midwest; it later opened an operations center in Schaumburg, Illinois. Metrocities branches in New York still using that name were rebranded Prospect Lending, LLC, in 2009. Prospect added the retail branch operations of Impac Mortgage and acquired Diamond Mortgage Group in January 2014. In November 2015, it acquired certain assets of CapWest Mortgage, a call-center operation based in Stilwell, Kansas. The company announced the sale of its operating assets to HomeBridge Financial Services on November 1, 2016; the acquisition was completed on February 2, 2017, and Prospect associates transitioned to HomeBridge. Its history also included national rankings in mortgage lending and a 2017 Consumer Financial Protection Bureau order over improper mortgage referrals.
