Bring early St. Louis aviation history to a relaxed gathering with this Robertson Aircraft can cooler. The company operated from Lambert-St. Louis Flying Field, carrying passengers and U.S. Air Mail while also teaching pilots and working with surplus aircraft. Its 1926 CAM-2 route connected St. Louis and Chicago by way of Springfield and Peoria. A nod to the people, planes, and regional links behind a memorable chapter in American flight.

Robertson Aircraft Corporation was a post-World War I aviation services company based at Lambert-St. Louis Flying Field near St. Louis, Missouri. Founded and run by former U.S. Army aviators and brothers William B. Robertson and Frank H. Robertson, it carried passengers and U.S. Air Mail, taught flying, staged exhibition flights, and modified, rebuilt, and resold surplus military aircraft. It also operated facilities in Kansas City, San Antonio, Houston, New Orleans, and Fort Wayne. On April 15, 1926, the company began Contract Air Mail route CAM-2 between Lambert Field and Chicago, with stops in Springfield and Peoria, Illinois; Charles Lindbergh was its chief pilot. Passenger and express service followed, including flights on St. Louis-Chicago using Stout Ford Tri-Motors. William Robertson left in 1928 to form Curtiss-Robertson, a Curtiss-Wright division that produced aircraft including the Curtiss Robin, which Robertson Aircraft sold. During the Great Depression, its flight operations joined Universal Aviation with other carriers. Universal became part of The Aviation Corporation in 1930; constituent companies merged into American Airways in 1934, later American Airlines. Robertson also built WACO CG-4A-RO gliders under license. A 1943 demonstration-flight crash at Lambert Field killed all ten aboard, including company president William Robertson.
