SeaCoast Airlines was a Florida-based airline headquartered in a private terminal on the grounds of St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport, in unincorporated Pinellas County near Clearwater. The company operated from 2002 to 2015, beginning aircraft charter service on July 4, 2002. Its first listed routes connected St. Petersburg-Clearwater with Key West and Marathon. SeaCoast provided charter flights throughout Florida and other Southern states, offering service around the clock. The account of its early operations describes a fleet of 15 twin-engine Navajo Chieftains, each with capacity for nine passengers; the fleet listing also identifies two Piper PA-31 Navajo aircraft. On December 5, 2015, the airline announced that it was going out of business effective immediately. The announcement followed news that Southwest Airlines was beginning regular service between Tampa and Key West.
