GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Start the day with a reminder of Silver Airways and its place in recent regional aviation history. Founded in Florida in 2011, the airline connected communities across Florida, the Bahamas, and the Caribbean while navigating changing routes and partnerships. Silver Airways ceased flights in 2025, making its story a memorable chapter for passengers and aviation fans alike. This coffee mug is a thoughtful everyday keepsake for former travelers, airline-history collectors, and anyone drawn to regional aviation.
Silver Airways was a regional airline headquartered in Hollywood, Florida, near Fort Lauderdale. It began in 2011 with assets from Gulfstream International Airlines, which had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in November 2010. The airline started flying on December 15, 2011, the day it adopted the Silver Airways name. It initially operated as Continental Connection; after Continental merged into United Airlines in April 2012, Silver flew as United Express until that affiliation ended in July 2013. Its network included Florida, the Bahamas, and Essential Air Service routes, with hubs in Fort Lauderdale and Tampa and later operations from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Silver acquired Seaborne Airlines in 2018 and began its own San Juan-based services in 2020. Its fleet and network changed over time, including the addition of ATR 42-600 aircraft. Silver filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on December 30, 2024. On June 11, 2025, it ceased all flights after selling its assets to Wexford Capital, which chose not to continue airline operations. Its Chapter 11 case converted to Chapter 7 liquidation on July 29, 2025.
