Its headquarters and distribution operations moved among New Hyde Park, Port Washington, Bethpage, and Hicksville, New York, as the business expanded; it also built a warehouse in Robbinsville, New Jersey. Sleepy's entered the Chicago market in 2013 and opened its 1,000th store in 2014. Mattress Firm agreed to acquire Sleepy's in December 2015. Stores were gradually rebranded, with the process completed by January 1, 2017, while Sleepy's continued online until 2018. Mattress Firm later reused Sleepy's as the name of a private-label mattress line.
