GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Remember a distinctive moment in Belgian aviation with this SN Brussels Airlines Square Porcelain Fridge Magnet. Following Sabena’s collapse, DAT was taken over and renamed in February 2002, creating a new national carrier based at Brussels Airport. SN Brussels connected European destinations and continued routes across Africa. Its white and lilac aircraft, accented with an orange dividing line, stood apart until the merger with Virgin Express led to the Brussels Airlines identity. A compact keepsake for airline memorabilia collectors and Belgium travel enthusiasts.
SN Brussels Airlines, also known as SNBA, was the trading name of Belgian airline Delta Air Transport and served as Belgium’s flag carrier after Sabena’s collapse in 2001 left the country without a national airline for several months. In February 2002, the newly established Belgian holding company SN Airholding took over DAT, a Sabena subsidiary, and changed its trading name to SN Brussels Airlines. The investor group included companies, financial institutions, regional investment companies, and the Brussels and Walloon governments; Étienne Davignon headed the holding company. A strategic reorganization began in 2002 under former chief executive Peter Davies. Based at Brussels Airport, the airline connected Brussels with European destinations and continued Sabena’s extensive African network. SN Brussels took holding control of Virgin Express on 12 April 2005. The two airlines announced their merger on 31 March 2006, and the new name, Brussels Airlines, was announced at Brussels Airport on 7 November 2006. Brussels Airlines began operations on 25 March 2007, succeeding the merged carriers. Before the merger, SN Brussels used a white and lilac aircraft livery with an orange dividing line and an old Sabena “S” on the tail; that scheme and Virgin Express’s livery gave way to the Brussels Airlines identity.
