GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Carry a tribute to Song's brief airline story on your next journey. Delta launched the leisure-focused brand in 2003, connecting the Northeast with Florida and other destinations while offering a distinct cabin experience. Song flights were always operated by Delta, and when the brand ended in 2006, its aircraft, routes, and staff returned to Delta service. This passport cover celebrates a memorable period of airline identity and rebranding, making it a fitting choice for travelers and collectors with an interest in aviation history.
Song, LLC was a low-cost airline brand owned and operated by Delta Air Lines from 2003 to 2006; every Song flight was operated by Delta. Service began on April 15, 2003, with a focus on leisure travel between the northeastern United States and Florida, where Song competed with JetBlue Airways. It also served routes between Florida and the West Coast and between the Northeast and the West Coast. Delta launched Song using its existing aircraft, crews, booking systems, and airport resources. The brand emphasized affordable fares and amenities such as leather seats, personal entertainment screens, increased legroom, and a simplified booking system. Its branding and cabin designs were created by Landor Associates in New York. Song flew an all-Boeing 757 fleet and, at its peak, its brand appeared on more than 200 daily flights carrying over ten million passengers. Delta filed for bankruptcy on September 14, 2005. On October 28, Delta announced it would end the Song brand and return its aircraft to mainline service. Song was removed from future schedules on February 22, 2006; its final flight, from Las Vegas to Orlando, departed on April 30. Aircraft, routes, and staff reverted to Delta, and many Song features carried over into Delta service. The last aircraft in Song livery began returning to Delta colors on January 1, 2008.
