Bring a piece of Pacific Northwest railway history to your desk with the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway Foldable Mobile Phone Display Stand. The railway linked Portland and Spokane through routes serving Washington and Oregon communities, from the Columbia River corridor to regional destinations. Its history spans early construction, passenger and freight service, wartime transport, and its 1970 merger into Burlington Northern. This stand is a practical keepsake for rail enthusiasts and collectors who enjoy keeping a historic company name close at hand.

Chartered in 1905, the Spokane, Portland & Seattle Railway was formed by the Great Northern and Northern Pacific railroads to connect their transcontinental lines with Portland, Oregon. Construction began in 1906 from Vancouver, Washington, along the north bank of the Columbia River. The first section, from Pasco to Cliffs, opened on December 15, 1907; the line reached Lyle in January 1908, and the railroad adopted the Spokane, Portland & Seattle name that month. Service between Pasco and Portland began in November 1908, and the route to Spokane was completed by 1909. The company expanded through control of the Oregon Electric, whose line reached Eugene by 1912, and through routes including the former Astoria and Columbia River Railroad and the Oregon Trunk Railway. Its network also served destinations such as Astoria, Bend, and Goldendale. During World War II, it carried war materials to the Pacific Theatre and served industries along the Columbia River. In March 1970, the railway merged into Burlington Northern, formed from four major railroads, including its two parent companies. Today, portions of its former routes are operated by BNSF Railway and Portland and Western Railroad.
