GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Add a small reminder of Denver’s retail heritage to your desk with this sticky note pad celebrating The Denver Dry Goods Company. Founded in 1879, the business became a recognizable part of downtown Denver and the wider story of Colorado shopping. Its motto, “Where Colorado Shops With Confidence,” brings to mind a trusted store, familiar counters, and generations of customers. Useful for notes, lists, and reminders, this paper good also makes a thoughtful desk keepsake for local-history enthusiasts and former shoppers.

The Denver Dry Goods Company began in Denver, Colorado, in 1879, founded by Michael J. McNamara and L. H. Flanders as M. J. McNamara & Company. Their business roots reach back to 1876, when both worked as clerks at a Denver dry goods store. McNamara formed a partnership with Edgar H. Drew in 1877; after Drew left two years later, Flanders joined as co-owner. The business was purchased and renamed The McNamara Dry Goods Company in 1886, opening under that name on October 11. In 1893 McNamara transferred ownership to Dennis Sheedy and Charles Kountz, and the company was reorganized as Denver Dry Goods Company in 1894. Its downtown Denver store, built in 1889, was expanded in 1898, 1906 and 1924. The company later became part of Associated Dry Goods, which expanded its stores in the Denver area and other locations, including Billings, Montana. May Company acquired it as part of Associated Dry Goods in 1986. Nine of 12 locations closed and were sold; the remaining three became May-Daniels & Fisher stores in 1987. The original downtown building was converted to apartments in 1994.

Keep a stack by the phone for action items, stash a pad in your planner for weekly priorities, or place one on a conference table where everyone can jot a quick note. The adhesive holds through handling but releases cleanly when you move items around. For people who prefer minimal branding and maximum writing space, these pads help keep thoughts visible and tasks moving forward without shouting for attention.
