Keep business cards close alongside a story from Puerto Rico's aviation past. Tol Air Services was established in 1981 and began flying in 1983, operating daily cargo charters from its San Juan base to ten Caribbean destinations. The airline's varied fleet and regional routes make its history especially meaningful to collectors of island aviation and cargo carriers. This business card holder offers a practical way to carry that interest into workdays, meetings and travel.
Tol Air Services Inc. was a charter and cargo airline based at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Established in 1981, the company began operations on 16 May 1983. It operated daily cargo charter flights from Puerto Rico to 10 destinations in the Caribbean, connecting its San Juan base with regional markets. Its fleet included a range of piston and turboprop aircraft, among them Beech E18S, Cessna 402 and 208, Convair 240 and 440, Douglas C-47 and DC-3, Douglas C-54, Martin 4-0-4, and Swearingen SA226-TC Metro II aircraft. On 30 December 2003, a Tol Air DC-3 was substantially damaged after its starboard undercarriage collapsed while landing at Cyril E. King Airport in Charlotte Amalie, following a flight from San Juan. In April 2006, Tol Air was purchased by Four Star Air Cargo, marking a change in ownership in the company’s history. The airline’s identifiers were IATA code TI, ICAO code TOL, and callsign Tol Air.
