Product Details & Size Guide
For young fans of aircraft and airline history, this Tol Air Services youth hoodie connects a cozy wardrobe staple with a real Caribbean aviation story. Tol Air operated from San Juan, carrying cargo on charter flights to ten destinations across the region. Established in 1981, the airline began operations in 1983 and later became part of a new ownership chapter in 2006. Its varied fleet and Puerto Rican roots make Tol Air a compelling subject for collectors and families who enjoy regional aviation history.
Tol Air Services Inc. was a charter and cargo airline based at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Established in 1981, the company began operations on 16 May 1983. It operated daily cargo charter flights from Puerto Rico to 10 destinations in the Caribbean, connecting its San Juan base with regional markets. Its fleet included a range of piston and turboprop aircraft, among them Beech E18S, Cessna 402 and 208, Convair 240 and 440, Douglas C-47 and DC-3, Douglas C-54, Martin 4-0-4, and Swearingen SA226-TC Metro II aircraft. On 30 December 2003, a Tol Air DC-3 was substantially damaged after its starboard undercarriage collapsed while landing at Cyril E. King Airport in Charlotte Amalie, following a flight from San Juan. In April 2006, Tol Air was purchased by Four Star Air Cargo, marking a change in ownership in the company’s history. The airline’s identifiers were IATA code TI, ICAO code TOL, and callsign Tol Air.
