In January 2019, global intellectual property excluding Canada transferred to Tru Kids, which relaunched retail activity. WHP Global acquired a controlling interest in Tru Kids in 2021 and arranged a Macy's store-within-a-store rollout beginning in 2022. Standalone and flagship stores also returned, including locations at American Dream in New Jersey and Mall of America in Minnesota. The brand's history also includes related businesses such as Babies R Us and Kids R Us.
