Product Details & Size Guide
Remember a New England grocery name rooted in Leominster, where James and Louis DiGeronimo opened their corner market in 1923. Victory grew from fresh meats and home delivery into a family-run chain serving Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with later generations helping carry the business forward. This cuffed beanie offers a wearable nod to that regional story and to the customers, workers, and communities connected with Victory Supermarkets through decades of changing local retail.
Victory Super Markets began in 1923, when Italian-American brothers James and Louis DiGeronimo opened a small corner market in their hometown of Leominster, Massachusetts. The store specialized in fresh meats and home delivery. In 1955, the founders’ sons opened the chain’s first full supermarket on North Main Street, at the site that later served as company headquarters. The family expanded the business across Massachusetts and New Hampshire, with a third generation joining in the 1980s. In 1996, Victory introduced Market Square, a food-focused store concept first tested in Kingston and later brought to Leominster and Derry, New Hampshire. Around 1999 and 2000, the chain acquired four Shaw’s locations in the Boston area and closed stores in Maynard and Amherst. In September 2004, Hannaford Brothers Company purchased Victory for $175 million; 19 of the 20 stores became Hannaford supermarkets, while the Athol store closed. Hannaford later closed its Ayer location in 2015, with plans for an independently owned Shop ’n Save supplied by Hannaford. In 2016, eight Hannaford locations were announced for sale to Big Y. The family-run chain employed more than 2,600 people at the time of its sale.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.
Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
