The airline used de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter and DHC-7 Dash 7 turboprops, aircraft capable of short takeoff and landing (STOL) operations. In 1980, Air Pacific merged with Gem State Airlines to form Golden Gate Airlines. Golden Gate Airlines merged with Swift Aire Lines in 1981, and service was discontinued shortly thereafter.
