This Imair Airlines T-Shirt recognizes a distinct Baku aviation story. Established in 1994 and flying from July 1995, Imair Airlines operated scheduled international passenger service alongside charter flights from Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Its network included destinations in Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, and Uzbekistan before operations ended on 23 November 2009. The airline’s final two-aircraft Tu-154M fleet gives this design a focused connection to the era of regional passenger aviation. Ideal for collectors and air-travel historians.
Imair Airlines was a private airline based in Baku, Azerbaijan, with its main base at Heydar Aliyev International Airport. Established on 6 October 1994, the airline began operations in July 1995. It operated international scheduled passenger services as well as charter passenger services. Its destination list in November 2009 included Baku; Almaty and Nur-Sultan in Kazakhstan; Surgut in Russia; Bodrum in Turkey; and Tashkent in Uzbekistan. The listed airports included Almaty International Airport, Nursultan Nazarbayev International Airport, Surgut Airport, Milas-Bodrum Airport, and Tashkent International Airport. On 23 November 2009, Imair Airlines ceased operations. Its fleet on that date consisted of two Tupolev Tu-154M aircraft, and the airline announced plans to sell both remaining aircraft. Its 1995-2009 operating period forms a concise chapter in the aviation and transport history connected with Baku and international passenger routes.
