Product Details & Size Guide

GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Keep Lyons-Knight in the conversation at a picnic, car meet, or relaxed evening. The Indianapolis marque produced automobiles from 1913 to 1915, including the K-4 and the six-cylinder K-6, both tied to the era's interest in Knight sleeve-valve engines. After car production ended, Lyons-Atlas continued its engine work, adding another chapter to the company's story. This can cooler suits classic-car fans and history-minded collectors who like their memorabilia rooted in a real, short-lived manufacturer.

Lyons-Knight was an American automobile built in Indianapolis, Indiana, from 1913 through 1915. In 1913, brothers James W., William P., and George W. Lyons purchased Atlas Engine Works and reorganized it as the Lyons-Atlas Company. The former Atlas Company had made two-stroke gasoline and diesel engines and developed gasoline engines using the Knight sleeve-valve design. Lyons-Knight cars used Knight sleeve-valve engines and worm-drive rear axles designed by Harry A. Knox, who had previously worked at the Atlas-Knight Automobile Company in Springfield, Massachusetts. The 1913 Model K-4 had a 50-horsepower four-cylinder engine, a 130-inch wheelbase, and touring, sedan, or berline body choices for five or seven passengers. For 1914, the Model K-6 added a six-cylinder option on the same wheelbase, offered as a five- or seven-passenger touring sedan. In 1915, the K-4 was the sole model, with limousine and roadster bodies added. Automobile production ended that year, soon after Knox resigned. Lyons-Atlas continued making engines and supplied Standard marine engines for Britain during World War I.
