GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Nash's began as a Pasadena grocery in 1889 and grew into a department-store chain serving communities throughout the area. Its history includes the flagship at 250 East Colorado Boulevard, a Pomona store on West Main Street before its move to Pomona Mall, and a Whittier location opened in 1954. This foldable mobile phone display stand brings the Nash's name into a contemporary setting while celebrating the local stores and shopping districts remembered by collectors.
Nash's, also known as F. C. Nash & Co., was a department store founded in Pasadena, California, in 1889 by Hammond G. Nash. He expanded his grocery on Colorado Street into a full department store and developed the business into a small chain serving nearby communities. Locations included Alhambra; downtown Pomona, first at 36 West Main Street and later at 450 Pomona Mall; West Arcadia at the Arcadia Hub shopping center, 1325 South Baldwin Avenue; Whittier at Whittier Quad; and Fullerton near Harbor Boulevard and Orangethorpe Avenue. The Whittier store, a 30,000-square-foot location, opened in 1954. The Pasadena flagship stood at 250 East Colorado Boulevard. It was destroyed in a 1976 fire, leaving the building a total loss. The financial losses associated with the fire proved unrecoverable for the chain, which closed entirely. Nash's history traces a local grocery's growth into a regional department-store business, with locations tied to downtown streets, shopping centers, and a pedestrian mall.
