Keep cards close with a Wisecrack keepsake inspired by a company that made thoughtful media analysis entertaining. Founded in 2014, Wisecrack brought philosophy, sociology, and psychology to familiar films, literature, anime, and games through web series and podcasts. Its creative slate ranged from Thug Notes and Earthling Cinema to 8-Bit Philosophy, which presented questions in the style of classic games and concluded in 2016. A compact nod to the company's distinctive voice and its journey through a 2025 shutdown announcement.
Wisecrack, Inc. was an American production company founded in 2014 and operated by Jacob Salamon, Jared Bauer, Greg Edwards, Drew Levin, and Todd Mendeloff. Wisecrack was purchased by Blue Ant Media in August 2019. On April 16, 2025, Wisecrack announced that it was shutting down.
