Trans World Airlines (TWA)

Ghost Corp Apparel — resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Trans World Airlines was once one of the most glamorous names in American aviation. Born from the early airline consolidation era and closely associated with Howard Hughes, TWA carried passengers across the United States and around the world with its unmistakable red-and-white branding and a major presence at New York’s iconic TWA Flight Center.

But deregulation, debt, corporate battles, and repeated bankruptcies eventually brought the jet-set era back to earth. In 2001, American Airlines acquired most of TWA’s assets, and the airline that once promised the world became another name on aviation history’s departure board.

Decades of globe-spanning ambition, Hollywood glamour, and corporate turbulence — followed by one final landing.

Explore our TWA collection celebrating one of the most legendary vanished airlines in American history.
