GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Carry a piece of AMC's independent small-car story wherever the road leads. The AMC Gremlin arrived on April 1, 1970, with a compact Hornet-derived foundation and a radically shortened rear that made it instantly recognizable. This cuffed beanie is for enthusiasts who appreciate the Gremlin's economy-car attitude, X and GT package history, available V8 power, and later connection to the AMC Spirit. An easy cold-weather pick for shows, garages, drives, and everyday nostalgia.

The AMC Gremlin was American Motors Corporation's subcompact economy car, introduced on April 1, 1970, and sold in the United States through 1978 in a single two-door body style. AMC design chief Dick Teague and stylist Bob Nixon developed the idea from a shortened version of AMC's compact Hornet, giving the car its distinctive truncated, kammback-like rear. AMC marketed it as "the first American-built import" while competing with domestic rivals such as the Ford Pinto and Chevrolet Vega, plus imports including the Volkswagen Beetle and Toyota Corolla. The Gremlin was built in the United States and Canada, while AMC's Vehículos Automotores Mexicanos subsidiary manufactured versions in Mexico from 1974 to 1983. The model evolved through X, Custom, and GT packages and offered four-, six-, and V8-cylinder engines at different points. After 671,475 Gremlins were produced, AMC replaced it for 1979 with the restyled AMC Spirit, which continued through 1983. In Mexico, VAM retained the Gremlin name for its Spirit-based sedan through 1983.

This cuffed beanie carries a lived-in street energy—soft, warm, and quietly bold. The low-profile embroidery sits on the cuff like a personal insignia: a small, slightly distressed logo with a touch of red that reads as both vintage and current. It slips on easily and stays put through commutes, late-night walks, and chilly market runs, adding a subtle graphic edge without shouting.

Wear it with a worn denim jacket, layered knit, or an oversized coat. It works for creatives who like to curate a look that’s casual but considered, for city cyclists who need dependable warmth, or for anyone who favors compact, tactile details. The hypoallergenic acrylic knit keeps things comfortable against the skin while the 12" cuff gives you styling flexibility—fold it high for warmth or roll it low for a slouchier silhouette. This is a small, everyday piece that quietly completes an outfit and ages into its own personality.
