GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Celebrate American steel history with a Bethlehem Steel youth hoodie sweatshirt rooted in the story of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. From iron works launched in 1857, Bethlehem Steel grew into a major name in structural steel, rail production, shipbuilding, and the industrial life of the Lehigh Valley. Its legacy reaches famous bridges and skyscrapers as well as the everyday communities built around mills and hard work. A great layer for young history fans, steelworker families, and anyone proud of manufacturing heritage.

Bethlehem Steel Corporation grew from iron works launched in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, in 1857. After earlier names including Saucona Iron Company, Bethlehem Rolling Mill and Iron Company, and Bethlehem Iron Company, Bethlehem Steel Company was established in 1899. Charles M. Schwab helped form Bethlehem Steel Corporation in 1904 as the corporate parent; the two companies later merged under the corporation name in the 1960s. Headquartered in Bethlehem throughout its history, the company expanded beyond its primary mill to operations in Sparrows Point, Maryland; Johnstown, Pennsylvania; Lackawanna, New York; and Burns Harbor, Indiana. Its wide-flange structural shapes, first commercially produced in 1908, helped supply the construction trade, while its steel went into landmarks including the Empire State Building, Golden Gate Bridge, and George Washington Bridge. Bethlehem also became a major shipbuilder and wartime supplier. Facing foreign competition, rising labor and pension costs, and other pressures, it shut much of its steelmaking in 1982, filed for bankruptcy in 2001, and was dissolved in 2003. International Steel Group acquired its remaining assets, later becoming part of ArcelorMittal.
