Drexel Burnham Lambert Inc. was a New York-headquartered American multinational investment bank whose roots combined Burnham and Company, founded in New York City in 1935 by I. W. “Tubby” Burnham, with the historic Drexel lineage of Philadelphia. Francis Martin Drexel founded Drexel & Company in 1838; after later transitions, a new investment bank assumed the Drexel name in 1940. Drexel merged with Harriman, Ripley and Company in 1965, then took a 25 percent investment from Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in the mid-1970s. Burnham and Drexel Firestone merged in 1973 to form Drexel Burnham and Company. A 1976 merger with William D. Witter, the American arm of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert, created Drexel Burnham Lambert. The firm became a prominent 1980s Wall Street presence, known for high-yield securities, takeover financing and mergers and acquisitions. After criminal and SEC cases, it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in February 1990. Its parent-company successor emerged from bankruptcy in 1992 as New Street Capital, which merged with Green Capital in 1994.

Care instructions
- Keep the burning candle within sight, and keep away from children and pets. Never burn the candle near flammable items. For best results, burn the candle for 3 - 4 hours in each lighting and trim the wick to 1/4" before lighting. Discontinue use with 1/2" of wax remaining.
