Eastern Air Lines Toddler Tee / T-Shirt
Share a little piece of classic aviation history with the next generation in an Eastern Air Lines toddler tee. Eastern connected New York, Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans, and beyond during its long run from 1926 to 1991, becoming a familiar name in American air travel. The airline’s memorable blue hockey-stick identity and Florida connection make this an easy pick for aviation families, airline collectors, and young travelers in the making.
Eastern Air Lines was a U.S. trunk carrier that operated from 1926 to 1991. Its roots included Florida Airways and Pitcairn Aviation, which won a late-1920s mail contract between New York City and Atlanta. After Clement Keys purchased Pitcairn in 1929, it became Eastern Air Transport in 1930 and, following General Motors ownership and the Airmail Act of 1934, Eastern Air Lines. Eddie Rickenbacker bought the company in 1938, during a period when its network linked New York, Washington, Atlanta, New Orleans, Chicago, and Miami. Eastern acquired Colonial Airlines in 1956, Mackey Airlines in 1967, Caribair in 1973, and Braniff's South American routes in 1982. It introduced the Eastern Air Lines Shuttle in 1961 and flew its final service in January 1991. American acquired its Latin American routes, while Delta acquired gates in Atlanta.
