GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.

Set down a drink on a ceramic coaster that celebrates Trans World Airlines, a name woven into the history of American air travel. TWA emerged from the 1930 creation of Transcontinental & Western Air, grew into an international carrier, and became synonymous with the visual drama of the jet age. From the TWA Flight Center at JFK to its longtime St. Louis operations, its story still resonates with aviation and design collectors. A distinctive tabletop accent for home bars, desks, lounges, and travel-inspired spaces.

Trans World Airlines, better known as TWA, operated as a United States trunk carrier from 1930 until American Airlines acquired it in 2001. Its roots include the October 1, 1930 merger that formed Transcontinental & Western Air to link New York City and Los Angeles through St. Louis, Kansas City, and other stops. The airline adopted the Trans World Airlines name in 1950 and became associated with coast-to-coast and international service. Howard Hughes acquired stock beginning in 1939 and held control by 1944; after World War II, the airline expanded to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. TWA's New York transatlantic presence was anchored by the Eero Saarinen-designed TWA Flight Center at JFK, completed in 1962. The company later developed its largest hub at St. Louis Lambert International Airport and acquired Ozark Air Lines in 1986. Financial pressure, restructuring, and three bankruptcies preceded its final acquisition. TWA remained an LLC under American Airlines until July 1, 2003.

Ceramic coaster engraved with a simple, vintage-style wordmark that brings a quiet, archival charm to a coffee table or office desk. The cool ceramic top takes heat and condensation with calm confidence while the cork backing keeps cups steady and surfaces safe. It sits easily beside a well-loved mug during long work sessions or late-night reading, a small, steady surface that feels both practical and quietly nostalgic.
