GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Tee off with a nod to AirTran Airways, the carrier that connected an Orlando origin story to a major Atlanta hub legacy. These golf balls celebrate a brand aviation collectors remember for its bold teal, white, red, and pink identity, Boeing 717-200 and 737-700 fleet chapters, and eventual Southwest integration. They are a fun addition to a round, tournament, display shelf, or golf gift for a former employee, frequent flyer, airline enthusiast, or fan of modern U.S. aviation history.
AirTran Airways was a U.S. low-cost airline headquartered in Orlando, Florida. It began in 1993 as Conquest Sun Airlines, a Boeing 737-200 startup serving Orlando, created by the management of Destination Sun Airways and Conquest Airlines. AirTran Corporation purchased the carrier in 1994 and renamed it AirTran Airways; the company later placed the airline under Airways Corporation, which was spun off in 1995. In 1997, the ValuJet holding company acquired Airways Corporation, adopted the AirTran Holdings name, and renamed ValuJet Airlines as AirTran Airlines. Operations and aircraft were transferred into AirTran Airways in 1998, and AirTran Airlines was merged into it in 1999. AirTran grew with a major hub at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, a fleet centered on Boeing 717-200 and Boeing 737-700 aircraft, and service across the United States and beyond. Southwest Airlines acquired AirTran and AirTran Holdings on May 2, 2011. The brands were gradually integrated, and AirTran's final revenue flight operated December 28, 2014, from Atlanta to Tampa.
