Carry a piece of American roadside history with an Amoco Cotton Polo Shirt. The design honors the company that grew from Standard Oil of Indiana and its Whiting, Indiana refinery into a familiar name at service stations across the Midwest and beyond. Amoco’s red, white, and blue torch-and-oval identity recalls road maps, clean service bays, Chicago business history, and generations of fuel-industry advertising. A refined choice for collectors and fans of classic petroleum brands.

Amoco began with Standard Oil Company of Indiana, formed in 1889 by John D. Rockefeller around the Whiting Refinery on Lake Michigan in Whiting, Indiana. Independent after the 1911 Standard Oil trust breakup, Indiana Standard opened its first service station in Minneapolis in 1912 and held rights to the Standard name across much of the Midwest. It absorbed the Baltimore-founded American Oil Company in 1925, bringing the American and Amoco names into its retail identity. The familiar torch-and-oval image joined Standard and Amoco branding in 1946. American Oil's lead-free premium gasoline, later Amoco Super-Premium, preceded the nationwide phaseout of leaded fuel by decades. Pan-Am stations in the Southeast were rebranded Amoco in 1956, and by 1971 the company’s divisions used the Amoco name. Standard Oil Company of Indiana officially became Amoco Corporation in 1985. Headquartered in Chicago's Amoco Building, the company merged with BP in December 1998 as BP Amoco; the company name became BP in 2001. BP announced a selected-market Amoco station return in 2017.

This Napster Polo Shirt gives late-90s internet chaos a cleaner, more polished look. It is perfect for music fans, tech workers, former college dorm downloaders, startup nostalgia people, MP3 collectors, file-sharing veterans, and anyone who wants a shirt that says “I remember when the music industry panicked,” but still works for casual Friday. Napster was founded in 1999 by Shawn Fanning and Sean Parker and became one of the most famous names in early peer-to-peer music sharing. The original service let users search for and share MP3 files, turning dorm rooms, dial-up connections, CD binders, and hard drives full of mislabeled songs into a full-blown cultural moment. It also triggered major legal battles with record labels and artists before the original service was shut down. 👔 The polo style works well for casual Fridays, tech meetups, music events, startup gatherings, retro internet parties, record store trips, DJ nights, and family gatherings where someone will absolutely bring up LimeWire next 🎧 A sharp nod to Napster, Shawn Fanning, Sean Parker, MP3 sharing, peer-to-peer networks, digital music, file sharing, dorm-room internet, CD ripping, Winamp playlists, LimeWire, Kazaa, iTunes, Rhapsody, Roxio, Best Buy, and early streaming history 💿 Napster’s brand lived several lives after the original service ended. Roxio acquired the assets and relaunched Napster as a legal digital music store, Best Buy later owned it, and Rhapsody acquired Napster-related assets in 2011. 📡 The Napster name continued into the streaming era, eventually becoming part of later digital music and subscription-service history. In 2025, Infinite Reality announced a deal to acquire Napster for $207 million, showing that one of the internet’s most notorious music brands still had cultural value decades after its first wave. This Napster polo makes a great gift for him, music fan gift, tech nostalgia gift, internet history gift, startup gift, 90s kid gift, DJ gift, software developer gift, or polished retro web apparel for anyone who remembers when downloading one song could take twenty minutes and still feel like the future.
