Set down a drink beside a story rooted in Atlanta’s regional-airline legacy. This Atlantic Southeast Airlines coaster recognizes the carrier’s 1979 launch, early Twin Otter service to Columbus, Georgia, and evolution through Delta Connection turboprops and regional jets. A thoughtful home, office, or bar accent for ASA collectors, aviation enthusiasts, former crew members, and anyone drawn to airport and airline memorabilia.

Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc. was incorporated on March 12, 1979, in the Atlanta area and began operations on June 27, 1979, flying three 19-passenger de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otters between Atlanta and Columbus, Georgia. The carrier acquired Southeastern Airlines in 1983 and joined Delta Connection on May 1, 1984, as one of the program's first regional partners. ASA added Embraer turboprops, introduced BAe 146-200 jet service in 1995, and began CRJ200 service from its Atlanta hub in 1997. Delta Air Lines acquired the remaining ownership stake in 1999. SkyWest, Inc. completed its acquisition of ASA in September 2005, while the airline continued flying Delta Connection service and later began United Express service in February 2010. Following SkyWest's 2010 merger agreement with ExpressJet, the combined operation was based in Atlanta. ASA adopted the ExpressJet name and branding in 2011, received a single FAA operating certificate with ExpressJet in November, and by December 2011 its flights operated as ExpressJet for major-airline code-share partners.

Ceramic coaster engraved with a simple, vintage-style wordmark that brings a quiet, archival charm to a coffee table or office desk. The cool ceramic top takes heat and condensation with calm confidence while the cork backing keeps cups steady and surfaces safe. It sits easily beside a well-loved mug during long work sessions or late-night reading, a small, steady surface that feels both practical and quietly nostalgic.
