Raise a glass to the western railroad known as SP and Espee. This Southern Pacific Railroad pint glass brings the history of a network that connected San Francisco, Los Angeles, El Paso, Houston, Portland, and beyond into your home bar. It is a fitting everyday piece for railroad collectors, Daylight admirers, and anyone drawn to the long corporate lineage that ran from Southern Pacific’s 1865 founding to its Union Pacific acquisition in 1996.

Southern Pacific, commonly known by its reporting mark SP and the nickname Espee, was a Class I railroad network serving much of the western United States from 1865 to 1996. The original company was founded in San Francisco in 1865 to pursue a rail connection between San Francisco and San Diego. In September 1868 it was purchased by the Big Four: Charles Crocker, Leland Stanford, Mark Hopkins Jr., and C. P. Huntington, who had created the Central Pacific Railroad in 1861. Southern Pacific acquired Central Pacific routes through leasing in 1885. By 1900, its system stretched from New Orleans through Texas, El Paso, New Mexico, Tucson, Los Angeles, California, Nevada, Utah, Oregon, and Portland. Operations later used the names Southern Pacific Railroad, Southern Pacific Company, and Southern Pacific Transportation Company. The latter was established in 1969 and became the final SP incarnation. Rio Grande Industries took it over in 1988. Union Pacific Corporation acquired the system in 1996; in 1998, Southern Pacific Transportation Company was renamed Union Pacific Railroad.

A sturdy 16oz pint glass that brings a little roadhouse spirit to everyday pours. The clear tempered glass showcases whatever you fill it with — amber beer, cold brew, or fresh juice — while a bold vintage-inspired script wraps the side for a subtle, nostalgic touch. It feels solid in the hand, resists everyday wear, and pairs easily with bar carts, kitchen counters, or a laid-back backyard table. Wash gently by hand to keep the lettering sharp and the glass crystal-clear. Built from tempered materials and assembled in the USA, this glass fits into evenings spent swapping stories, weekend morning routines, or those slow, quiet moments when a simple drink matters.
