GhostCorp Apparel - resurrecting iconic corporate ghosts.
Make every round a little more memorable with White Star Line golf balls. The company name recalls Liverpool, Albion House, the Harland and Wolff partnership, and a remarkable era of transatlantic travel. White Star's liners, including Oceanic, Olympic, and Titanic, remain enduring symbols of ocean-going ambition and maritime history. Ideal for golfers who collect nautical subjects or enjoy a distinctive conversation piece, these golf balls pair course-day utility with a legendary shipping-line story.
White Star Line was a British shipping line associated with passenger and cargo services between the British Empire and the United States. The first company using the name was founded in Liverpool, England, in 1845 by John Pilkington and Henry Wilson, initially serving the UK-Australia trade. After bankruptcy in 1867, Thomas Ismay bought its house flag, trade name and goodwill on 18 January 1868 and established headquarters at Albion House, Liverpool. Working with Harland and Wolff, the reorganized line developed North Atlantic services between Liverpool and New York. Its early Oceanic class entered service from 1871, while vessels such as Oceanic, Olympic and Titanic became central to its history. White Star emphasized comfortable travel for upper-class and steerage passengers rather than speed alone, though several ships held Blue Riband records. The company declined during the Great Depression and merged with rival Cunard Line in 1934 as Cunard-White Star Line. Cunard purchased White Star's share in 1950. Modern Cunard ships retain the phrase White Star Service for their expected service level.
